dc.description.abstractAbstract- The ora-pro-nobis leaves are considered unconventional, despite being nutritious and, for this reason, they have been of interest in the area of food and health. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of harvest time, type of packaging and storage temperature on the useful life of ora-pro-nobis leaves. The experiment was carried out with about 240 leaves harvested at two different times (07:00 and 12:00) to assess the titratable acidity, ascorbic acid and chlorophyll content. The sheets were packed in two types of packaging, with and without holes, being stored at two different temperatures (refrigerated at 10 ° C and room at 25 ° C). Leaves harvested at 12 noon and stored at room temperature in packs with or without pits, showed higher values of ascorbic acid content. The means of chlorophyll differed in the treatments. The present work infers that the storage at 10 ° C prolongs the useful life of ora-pro-nobis leaves (Pereskia aculeata), when compared to the temperature of 25 ° C and that the harvest times did not influence the physicochemical behavior of the leaves. Plastic packages without holes presented a better visual aspect of the sheets than packages with holes.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoResumo- As folhas de ora-pro-nobis são consideradas não convencionais, apesar de nutritivas e, por isto têm sido interesse na área alimentar e da saúde. Diante disso, o objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a influência do horário de colheita, tipo de embalagem e temperatura de armazenamento na vida útil das folhas de ora-pro-nobis. O experimento foi conduzido com cerca de 240 folhas colhidas em dois horários distintos (07:00 am e 12:00 pm) para a avaliação de acidez titulável, ácido ascórbico e teor de clorofila. As folhas foram embaladas em dois tipos de embalagens, com e sem furos, sendo armazenadas em duas temperaturas diferentes (refrigerada a 10°C e ambiente a 25°C). As folhas colhidas às 12:00 pm e armazenadas em temperatura ambiente em embalagens com ou sem furos, apresentaram maiores valores de teor de ácido ascórbico. As medias de clorofila se diferenciaram nos tratamentos. O presente trabalho infere que o armazenamento a 10 °C prolonga a vida de prateleira das folhas de ora-pro-nobis (Pereskia aculeata), se comparada a temperatura de 25 °C e que os horários de colheita não influenciaram no comportamento físico químico das folhas. As embalagens plásticas sem furo mostraram aspecto visual melhor das folhas que as embalagens com furos.pt_BR
