MANEJO DE CONFINAMENTO DE GADO DE CORTE

Abstract

The internship was developed on the farm São Geraldo, located at Rodovia GO 174 km 349 in the municipality of Paraúna GO. The feedlot has the capacity to confine up to sixteen thousand animals. The property produces animals of dairy and mestizo origin. During the internship, it was possible to observe management since the arrival of the animals, management of batch formation, sanitary, storage of raw material, feed manufacture and supply to animals, and handling. Over the stage it was possible to identify some flaws in the production system adopted by the property. These failures were discussed and some indications of corrections were made. The internship was great was valid for my knowledge, because I was able to add knowledge obtained in the classroom with knowledge acquired in the property, I was able to learn techniques used in the field that is not possible be learned during graduation, further enriching my training.
