A POESIA INFANTIL E A ESCOLA: UMA ANÁLISE DO LIVRO DIDÁTICO

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the approach of the children's poetic text in the teaching system Orchard Teaching System, adopted by the Municipal Secretariat of Education of a municipality located in the southern region of the state of Goiás. It is intended to verify how the poetic texts are explored in the material object of analyze. For such analysis, an exploratory bibliographic research was carried out, supported by the theoretical assumptions discussed by Bordini (1986), Abramovich (1997), Aguiar; Ceccantini (2012), Rabbit (2000), Wedge (2012), Martha (2011). The activities proposed by the material may further improve in order to exploit as much as this textual genre offers. Nevertheless, the results of the analysis indicate that the said didactic material presents positive and negative aspects. The aesthetic quality and relevance of the texts to the children's universe, the production of poems and the selection of authors (contemporary and classic) are positive points. As negative points, we realize the need for more texts and textual interpretation activities. Also, a better exploration and work with the sound of the words and their playful character. Thus, the poetic text continues to function, often, as a pretext for teaching vocabulary and grammatical questions. Still, it is noticeable that the material innovates in relation to others of national circulation, adopted by most of the state's early childhood education institutions, since it explores the character of local and regional culture, which translates into formative quality.
