A FORMAÇÃO DE LEITORES NOS ANOS INICIAIS DO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL E O CANTINHO DA LEITURA

Abstract

The formation of the habit of reading, from childhood, provides innumerable benefits for child development. Through reading, it is possible to form citizens who are critical and able to fully exercise citizenship. Among the various projects to encourage reading in schools, the " Reading Corner have produced interesting results. This bibliographical research aims to reflect on the role of the Reading Corner for the formation of readers in the initial years of Elementary Education. For this, we will use as a theoretical contribution, mainly, the works of Abramovich (1993), Cademartori (1987), Claret (2013), Ferrarezi Júnior (2017), Martins (2012), Soares (2014) and Rangel (2009). The work is divided in four chapters, presenting in the first the concept, the teaching and the facilitation of the reading. The second chapter discusses the official guidelines for the formation of readers. The third discusses the role of the teacher in the training of readers. Finishing the research, the fourth chapter deals with the "Corner of Reading" as a space for the training of readers in the classroom. This study evidences the validity of the "Reading Corner" for the formation of readers in the initial years of Elementary School.
