Abstract: The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of different levels of cornmeal inclusion in elephant grass (BRS Capiaçu) silage on fermentative characteristics, bromatological composition, and silage quality. The experiment was conducted at Instituto Federal Goiano – Campus Ceres, using cut, chopped plants ensiled with 0%, 10%, 20%, and 40% cornmeal in 14 L experimental silos, stored for 6 months. After opening, losses by gases and effluents, silage density, fermentative profile (pH, solu-ble carbohydrates, organic acids, ammoniacal nitrogen), chemical composition (dry matter, crude protein, fiber, starch, total digestible nutrients), and animal performance estimates were evaluated. Data were submitted to analysis of variance (ANOVA), and means were compared by Tukey’s test at 5% significance level using R statistical software. Increasing cornmeal inclusion caused a linear increase in dry matter content from 17.94% in the control (0%) to 35.76% in the 40% cornmeal treatment. Total loss-es (effluents + gases) decreased from 75.55 to 11.11 kg/m³ in the 0% and 40% corn-meal treatments, respectively. Fermentative parameters also improved with inclusion, showing a reduction in pH, increased lactic acid and soluble carbohydrate contents, and decreased butyric acid and ammoniacal nitrogen, indicating lower protein degra-dation. Bromatological composition was also enhanced, with increased crude protein (from 6.77% to 9.58%), digestible protein, ether extract, starch, and non-fibrous carbo-hydrates, along with reductions in neutral detergent fiber (NDF), acid detergent fiber (ADF), and lignin contents. The higher energy supply reflected in greater total digesti-ble nutrients (from 36.95% to 74.02%) and estimated average daily gain (from -0.09 to 1.32 kg/animal unit/day). It is concluded that adding cornmeal to BRS Capiaçu silage improves preservation and nutritional value, making it more suitable for animals with higher nutritional requirements. Levels up to 40% provided the best responses, alt-hough economic feasibility should be considered before practical adoption of the technique.

Abstract: Equine-assisted therapy, or hippotherapy, is a therapeutic practice involving horses to promote
the physical, emotional, and social development of patients. This study aimed to investigate the
best care and management practices for horses in equine-assisted therapy, ensuring the animals'
well-being and the therapy's effectiveness. Through a qualitative bibliographic research
approach, studies and scientific publications were analyzed, focusing on key aspects such as
training, desensitization, nutritional and sanitary management, and appropriate environmental
practices. The findings highlighted that training and desensitization of the horses foster
harmonious interactions during therapy sessions, reducing patient anxiety and enhancing motor
skills. Furthermore, balanced diets, rigorous hygiene, and environmental enrichment
significantly contribute to the health and well-being of the horses, improving their readiness
and performance in therapeutic activities. It is concluded that the proper management of horses
is essential for the safety and effectiveness of equine-assisted therapy, reaffirming the
importance of an interdisciplinary approach and specialized veterinary oversight. These
practices offer mutual benefits to both horses and participants, solidifying equine-assisted
therapy as a valuable strategy in biopsychosocial rehabilitation.

Abstract: The milk production chain and its derivatives play a significant economic and social role in
Brazil. Milk quality is na essential element in this context, as it directly influences food safety,
industrial performance, shelf life of dairy products, and farmers’ income. This quality is
determined by physical, chemical, and microbiological characteristics, with Total Bacterial
Count (TBC) and Somatic Cell Count (SCC) standing out as important indicators used in its
evaluation. Animal-related factors, such as age, parity, stage of lactation, and the occurrence of
clinical or subclinical mastitis, directly influence SCC levels, which is widely used to assess
mammary gland health and milk quality. In addition, milk production level may also impact
quality indicators, since variations in productivity are associated with physiological and
metabolic changes that affect milk composition and microbiological characteristics.
Furthermore, seasonal variations significantly influence these indicators, as climatic changes
such as temperature, humidity, and rainfall patterns may favor increased bacterial load and
mastitis incidence, directly affecting milk quality. This study aimed to analyze the main
influences of seasonal variations and production level on TBC and SCC values in milk
production through a literature review. The analyzed studies indicate that climatic factors,
production level, sanitary management, and storage conditions are directly related to the
increase in microbiological indicators

Abstract: Beef cattle farming is of great economic and nutritional importance in Brazil, particularly for
the production and export of beef. The sector's performance is directly related to productive
efficiency, the adoption of intensive systems, and the proper use of animal nutrition. Given this,
the general objective of this study is to analyze the nutritional, physiological, productive, and
economic implications of using whole grain diets in finishing beef cattle. This work is
characterized as an exploratory and descriptive literature review. Therefore, it is concluded that
whole grain diets can be considered a viable and efficient alternative for finishing beef cattle
when applied technically and in a balanced way. The integration of adequate nutrition, feed
management, rumen health, animal welfare, and economic analysis is essential to guarantee
positive results.
