Abstract: No-tillage systems have been widely adopted as a conservation strategy aimed at promoting several soil benefits, based on the principles of crop rotation and the intercropping of forage legumes with grasses. These practices contribute to the intensification of agricultural production in a sustainable manner by enhancing soil protection, nutrient cycling, and the performance of succeeding crops. In this context, the objective of this study was to evaluate the macronutrient accumulation of Panicum maximum cv. BRS Tamani and Stylosanthes guianensis cv. BRS Bela, grown in monoculture and intercropping systems over two years, and to assess their effects on the agronomic characteristics and yield of soybean cultivated in succession. The experiment was conducted under field conditions at the Instituto Federal Goiano, Rio Verde Campus, Goiás State, Brazil, using a randomized complete block design with four replications. The treatments consisted of four forage production systems: BRS Tamani grass without nitrogen fertilization, BRS Tamani grass fertilized with 120 kg ha⁻¹ year⁻¹ of nitrogen, BRS Bela stylo, and BRS Tamani grass intercropped with BRS Bela stylo. The results showed that the intercropping system of BRS Tamani grass with BRS Bela stylo provided the greatest accumulation of N, P, K, S, Ca, and Mg from day 0 to day 90, demonstrating high efficiency as a soil cover and greater potential for nutrient recycling within the system, thereby reducing the need for external inputs. Furthermore, all soil cover systems significantly improved soybean yield, with the intercropping system standing out due to its greater biomass production, which consequently increased the number of pods per plant, the number of grains per pod, and the thousand-grain weight.

Abstract: Goosegrass (Eleusine indica) stands out as one of the main weeds in the Cerrado agricultural scenario, with increasing reports of multiple resistance. Conventional methods for identifying resistance are highly time-consuming. This study aimed to evaluate the use of thermographic remote sensing as an indicator of susceptibility and resistance in E. indica biotypes subjected to EPSPs and ACCase-inhibiting herbicides. For this purpose, seeds were collected from populations where growers reported control escapes in the field, as well as seeds from a known susceptible biotype. The experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design (CRD). First, a dose-response curve study was performed to confirm the susceptibility and resistance status of the three evaluated biotypes (Figueiredo: susceptible; Moresco and Barbosa: resistant). Subsequently, the effect of six treatments was evaluated (T1: Control; T2: Glyphosate; T3: Clethodim; T4: Haloxyfop; T5: Glyphosate+Clethodim; T6: Glyphosate+Haloxyfop), with 5 replications. At 17 days after application (DAA), the average leaf temperature was measured using a multispectral camera (Flir C2 thermal camera), determining the thermal contrast (Delta T = Mtreatment - Mcontrol), in addition to visual control and final dry mass. The results demonstrated that, in the resistant biotypes, the leaf temperature resembled that of the control, undergoing little thermal variation. On the other hand, in the susceptible biotype, the plant temperature increased by up to +3.37 °C. The Barbosa biotype showed severe resistance to haloxyfop (8.2% control) and glyphosate (28%), maintaining stomatal thermal stability (Delta T of +0.29 °C and +0.07 °C, respectively). The Figueiredo biotype demonstrated high passive thermal stress under glyphosate and haloxyfop (Delta T of +3.30 °C and +3.37 °C, respectively), evidencing transpirational blockage due to cell death. In turn, the Moresco biotype evidenced intermediate multiple resistance behavior to glyphosate (51% control) and haloxyfop (52%), with moderate thermal stress (Delta T of +1.49 °C and +0.50 °C, respectively). Clethodim expressed a slow and gradual thermal response in all populations (Delta T less than or equal to +0.89 °C), temporarily preserving transpiration. It is concluded that leaf thermal contrast is an early, accurate, and non-destructive indicator, effective for safely discriminating the level of resistance of biotypes in the field before the onset of visual symptoms.

Abstract: Bananas are one of the most consumed fruits in Brazil, standing out for their wide acceptance,&#xD;
nutritional value, and economic importance to the fruit growing sector. However, their high&#xD;
perishability contributes to losses and waste throughout the commercialization process,&#xD;
especially in retail. In this context, the present study aimed to quantify and characterize banana&#xD;
losses and waste in the retail trade of municipalities in the Southeast region of Goiás. The&#xD;
research was conducted in the municipalities of Caldas Novas, Corumbaíba, Ipameri, Urutaí, and&#xD;
Pires do Rio, through the application of structured questionnaires to retail establishments that sell&#xD;
the fruit. The data collection instrument included information related to the volume sold,&#xD;
frequency of replenishment, main causes of losses, disposal methods, and strategies adopted to&#xD;
reduce waste. The data obtained allowed us to identify the magnitude of losses in the retail&#xD;
segment, as well as the factors that most contribute to their occurrence, including mechanical&#xD;
damage, accelerated ripening, inadequate storage conditions, and reduction in the visual quality&#xD;
of the fruit. According to the results obtained, the banana variety with the highest losses was the&#xD;
Cavendish banana, followed by the plantain. The main causes of the losses are related to lack of&#xD;
refrigerated storage and distance from production centers.

Abstract: Family farming plays a fundamental role in the socioeconomic development of rural areas in Northeast Goiás, contributing to income generation, food security and the permanence of families in the countryside. In this context, the present study aimed to characterize the profile of family farmers in the micro-regions of Vão do Paranã and Chapada dos Veadeiros, covering the municipalities of São João d’Aliança, Alto Paraíso de Goiás and Flores de Goiás. The research was conducted through the application of semi-structured questionnaires to family farmers in the region, allowing the obtaining of information related to socioeconomic characteristics, production systems, access to technical assistance, sources of income and aspects of management of rural properties. The results showed the predominance of small properties run by family labor, with diversification of productive activities, highlighting the production of fruits, vegetables and extractive activities. Although over 50% of respondents have more than ten years of experience in the field, half are over 50 years old and have low education. The PNAE and PAA government marketing programs have helped flow the production of vegetables and fruits produced in the region. The main vegetables produced are lettuce, cabbage, tomatoes and pumpkin. While the two most planted fruit trees are banana and papaya. Despite difficulties with financing sources, logistics and infrastructure, most family producers intend to increase their production area.
