Abstract: Memes are versatile tools that can be used in various disciplines, as they cover a wide range of
themes. The term “meme” was initially created and used by biologist Richard Dawkins to
designate a unit of cultural information, in analogy to the gene. This work is part of an activity
developed within the scope of the Pedagogical Residency project of the Instituto Federal
Goiano – Campus Urutaí and was carried out in public schools, namely Colégio Estadual Maria
Benedita Velozo located in the city of Orizona/GO and Colégio Estadual Rodrigo Rodrigues
da Cunha located in the city of Pires do Rio/GO in the years 2021 and 2022. Throughout the
development of the project, a significant behavioral change among students was observed,
since, through the tools available on the internet, it was possible to promote interaction between
student-teacher and student-student within the virtual environment. The use of an innovative
tool contributed to breaking a traditional teaching trend, allowing students to learn in a more
dynamic and enjoyable way. It is concluded that the use of memes in the classroom fosters
meaningful learning.

Abstract: Snakebite accidents represent a significant public health problem in Brazil, especially in regions with greater contact between the population and natural environments. This study aimed to analyze the epidemiological profile of snakebite accidents recorded in the microregion of Pires do Rio, in the state of Goiás, between 2007 and 2023. The research is epidemiological, descriptive, and retrospective in nature, with a quantitative approach, based on secondary data from the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN). Information related to the victim profile, accident characteristics, snake genus involved, bite location, severity classification, and case outcomes was evaluated. The data indicate a predominance of accidents caused by snakes of the genus Bothrops, with a higher occurrence among males and economically active age groups (20 to 59 years old). Bites occurred mainly in the lower limbs, especially legs and feet. Regarding severity, cases classified as mild and moderate prevailed. Most cases resulted in recovery, with a low occurrence of deaths during the analyzed period. These results reinforce the importance of epidemiological surveillance and the availability of antivenom for the proper care of victims.

Abstract: A diversity of polyvalent, multifunctional strains of Trichoderma spp. has been
widely used in the biological control of plant pests and diseases, being recognized for its
effectiveness and for contributing to sustainable agricultural practices. In this study, 21 isolates
including both wild-type and transformed strains aimed at improving characteristics related to
the antagonistic potential of lineages of Trichoderma spp. were analyzed to identifying those
capable of producing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) with antagonistic activity against
Macrophomina phaseolina, a phytopathogen responsible for charcoal rot in soybean crops. The
assay was carried out in vitro using the dual plate technique, which enables microbial
interaction through a shared atmosphere without direct contact. The experiment was conducted
in a completely randomized design, consisting of 21 Trichoderma spp. isolates paired with one
isolate of the pathogen (M. phaseolina), with three replicates per combination, totaling 63
experimental units (excluding the control treatmentss plates containing only the phytopathogen
and plates containing only Trichoderma spp.). Plates were incubated at 27 °C, under a 12-hour
photoperiod. After complete colonization of the control platess, colony diameters (mm) were
measured using a digital caliper, and the mean percentages of mycelial growth inhibition were
calculated. Data were subjected to analysis of variance, and means were compared using the
Scott-Knott test at 5 % significance level, using the R software. The results showed variability
among the isolates, with values ranging from 6.34% to 19.19%, indicating good experimental
precision for the evaluated variables. The confrontation with M. phaseolina revealed that the
isolates IF 113, IF 123, IF 126, IF 127, IF 131, IF 134, and IF 135 exerted greater suppression
of pathogen’s mycelial growth, indicating the production of volatile compounds with inhibitory
effects. Therefore, the identification and selection of these Trichoderma spp. isolates, both
wild-type and transformed, thar wxhibit inhibitiory activity against M. phaseolina, represent
important steps toward advancing the development and application of more effective and
sustainable biocontrol agents in agriculture.

Abstract: This study aimed to develop an investigative teaching sequence on the ovarian genitourinary
system, focusing on the initial training of undergraduate students in Biological Sciences. The
research was developed within the activities of the Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation
Scholarships (PIBID) at the Federal Institute Goiano (IF Goiano), Urutaí Campus, which seeks
to promote a closer relationship between university education and the reality of basic education.
The study emerged from the problematization of existing gaps in the approach to the female
genitourinary system in teacher education and in the teaching materials used in science
education. To this end, a documentary analysis of course syllabi and bibliographic materials
was conducted, along with the application of a diagnostic questionnaire to undergraduate
students of the Biological Sciences program, aiming to identify prior knowledge and
pedagogical needs related to the topic. Based on the results obtained, an investigative teaching
sequence grounded in inquiry-based teaching was developed, aiming to foster the
problematization of the content and the active construction of knowledge. The results indicate
that the approach to the female genitourinary system still occurs in a limited manner in initial
teacher education, highlighting the need for pedagogical strategies that promote more critical
and contextualized discussions about the female body in science education. Thus, the proposed
sequence seeks to contribute to expanding reflections on this topic within teacher education.
