Abstract: The benefits of planned playful activities on children's behavior, motivation, and engagement highlight the impact of an educational approach in the context of school recess. This article analyzes the motivations that drove the development of the project, focusing on the needs identified in the school environment and the expected benefits for children's integral development. The "Diversifying - Games and Play" project was developed to enhance school recess, creating an educational environment focused on children's integral development. Developed by Physical Education students, who were carrying out supervised curricular internships in a school located in the municipality of Pires do Rio/GO. In response to the lack of an adequate space, the project prioritized the safety and organization of playtime, implementing activities that balance cognitive, physical, and emotional needs. Through observations and collaborative meetings between the management and interns, four simultaneous play stations were structured, allowing children to choose activities of their preference, encouraging autonomy and respecting their individuality. Each station promoted essential competencies, such as cooperation, problem-solving, and communication, contributing directly to motor and social development. This organizational and pedagogical model strengthened recess as a moment of
learning and socialization, providing a more welcoming and inclusive environment.

Abstract: This article is a narrative and integrative review that aimed to analyze the
concepts and factors associated with body dissatisfaction in adolescents. Body
image dissatisfaction is a phenomenon that begins at an early age and is strongly
influenced by sociocultural aspects, such as media, family, and peer groups.
Body image is a complex, multidimensional construct, supported by perceptive
and attitudinal dimensions. The study focuses on body dissatisfaction as an
aspect of the attitudinal dimension, referring to the discomfort and negative
feeling regarding one's physical appearance. The incessant search for a beauty
ideal, often imposed by society and the media, makes adolescents vulnerable.
The negative evaluation of physical form is a determining factor for the high
incidence of risky eating behaviors and can be a necessary element for the
development of eating disorders, depression, and social isolation. Finally, the
review emphasizes the importance of evaluation protocols validated for the
Brazilian population in order to ensure effective preventive interventions.

Abstract: Motor competence (MC) is an important indicator of child development and is influenced by biological, sociodemographic, and behavioral factors. This study aimed to narratively analyze the main factors associated with motor competence in children. A narrative literature review was conducted in the PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, SciELO, and LILACS databases, with no time restrictions and including studies published in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. Observational and quasi-experimental studies evaluating children aged 2 to 10 years using validated instruments (TGMD, KTK, M-ABC, and BOT-2) were included. The results indicate that MC is influenced by multiple variables, particularly age, sex, nutritional status, body composition, physical activity level, and sedentary behavior. Children with overweight, low levels of physical activity, and increased screen time tend to show lower MC scores, while older age, adequate weight, and greater engagement in physical activity are associated with better motor performance. The role of the school and family environment in promoting opportunities for movement is also highlighted. In conclusion, MC results from the dynamic interaction between individual and environmental factors. Promoting movement opportunities and active environments from early childhood is essential to enhance overall development, increase participation in physical activities, and prevent obesity.
