Abstract: In the course of the history of Brazilian education, as well as in the construction of Science, we experience a macho, elitist, white, Eurocentric, cisheteronormative and androcentric society, which imposes several obstacles on the trajectory of women. The gender theme, with its heterogeneity, seeks to break the paradigms pre-established by society in all areas, be it academic, professional, economic and/or social. Thinking about these aspects, the present research aims to analyze the PPC of the Degree in Chemistry course at the Instituto Federal Goiano - Campus Urutaí, seeking to identify how the curricular matrix of the course contemplates gender issues and how this theme is approached in the training process of chemistry teachers.The research in question is a case study with a qualitative approach, in which the data collection was carried out in the PPC elaborated by the Degree Course in Chemistry of the Federal Institute of Goiano - Campus Urutaí. From the research, we observed that gender discussions in the PPCs of the course are scarce, causing damage and weaknesses in the teachers' training process in this regard. Therefore, it is expected that this study will be relevant for the Chemistry Licentiate course at IF Goiano – Campus Urutaí, so that training actions that promote gender discussions are rethought and implemented.

Abstract: The biological activity of Lapachol reaches a wide range, such as antimicrobial, antifungal, antineoplastic, antitumor, and antimalarial activities, among others, and with this, studies have been conducted with its compound focused on the formation of polymeric films. These polymeric films are formed through the oxidation of the monomer on the surface of the working electrode through the redox process that occurs in its voltammetry, which is known as the electropolymerization study. The chemically modified electrodes by electropolymerization present different potentialities from common electrodes, and furthermore present advantages such as low cost, fast and precise electrochemical response. But for the formation of these polymeric films, it is necessary to provide the best environment for their acquisition and stability, analyzing their reactions and characteristics of the monomer under study. Thus, the present work aimed to study the electropolymerization of Lapachol on glassy carbon electrodes. Parameters such as scanning speed, number of cycles, and ion exchange behavior were analyzed. Where it can be observed the formation of the polymeric film with the monomer, in such a way that, in the study of cycles it was pointed out the increase of the current and, a little, of the potential of the redox pair of the monomer.

Abstract: Medicinal plants are viable alternatives, being used for the treatment of an important range of diseases, since the metabolites present in them demonstrate a great diversity of biological responses. In this study, we carried out a phytochemical analysis and evaluation of the antiparasitic activity of leaf extracts of Hancornia speciosa, popularly known as mangabeira, against the parasites Trypanosoma cruzi and Schistosoma mansoni. Leaves of the referred specie were collected in the city of Urutaí - GO. The ethanolic extract was evaluated for the presence of the main classes of compounds: organic acids, coumarins, polysaccharides, reducing sugars, phenols, catechin tannins, anthraquinones, steroids and triterpenoids, foaming saponins, alkaloids, flavonoids, and purines. Preliminary research on the leaf extracts of H. speciosa allows a prior assessment of its phytochemical characteristics. The preliminar antiparasitic evaluation of the fractions was ineffective against S. mansoni, but we obtained promising results for the hexane fraction against T. cruzi.

Abstract: The use of coordination compounds in medicine has proven to be an area of great scientific interest, mainly due to the many achievements from the use of this class of compounds. As an example, one can cite the revolution in cancer therapy promoted by the incorporation of the metallodrug widely known as cisplatin in the treatment of the disease. Currently, many other metallic compounds are used, which allows exploring the properties of metals for the design of new metallopharmaceuticals. This work supervised the synthesis and characterization of a zinc complex with the acylthiourea ligand, which is recognized for its biological applicability and, in addition, in the field of inorganic chemistry, it acts as a very universal ligand, presenting different coordination centers. The proposed compound was synthesized and characterized mainly by the spectroscopic technique of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (1H, 13C, COSY, HSQC and HMBC) and by X-Ray Diffraction for structural determination. The complex was obtained through bidentate anionic coordination of the ligand, via the sulfur and oxygen atoms, being stabilized by a six-membered ring. In addition, the baseline of the NMR spectra showed that the compound presented a considerable purity, in which, in the future, it will contribute to the performance of biological studies.
