Abstract: Passion fruit is a highly appreciated fruit in Brazil and worldwide, making its cultivation a profitable agricultural activity. Production costs are a key factor for growers when establishing a passion fruit orchard. This study aimed to evaluate passion fruit productivity under different production cost structures in the municipality of Carmo do Rio Verde, Goiás State, Brazil. Monthly monitoring was conducted with two producers (Producer 1 and Producer 2) over a 15-month period. Both producers cultivated the same passion fruit variety under similar soil and climatic conditions, using drip irrigation systems. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire covering inputs, fixed and variable costs, productivity, and revenues. The results showed that fertilizers and pesticides were the main components of production costs, ranging from R$51,031.25 to R$59,553.04 ha⁻¹, with variations resulting from differences in management strategies adopted by the producers. Passion fruit yield ranged from 23.82 t ha⁻¹ to 27.82 t ha⁻¹ for Producers 1 and 2, respectively. It was observed that Producer 2, who cultivated a larger production area, was also able to obtain better prices for agricultural inputs, demonstrating the direct relationship between purchasing power and the value attributed to producers by agricultural suppliers. The economic analysis revealed that Producer 2, who adopted a more intensive management system, achieved a higher gross income of R$438,165.00, while Producer 1 obtained R$162,653.70. Since Producer 2 used a greater amount of inputs and cultivated a larger area, the results confirm that efficiency in input utilization directly influences profitability in passion fruit production. The study concludes that practices such as balanced fertilization, efficient irrigation, technical assistance, and integrated crop management contribute to increased productivity and to the economic sustainability of passion fruit cultivation in the region

Abstract: The use of plant growth-promoting microorganisms has emerged as a sustainable strategy to
enhance seed physiological quality and early seedling development. This study evaluated the
effect of inoculation with plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) on the seed quality of bode
pepper (Capsicum chinense) and malagueta pepper (Capsicum frutescens). The bacterial strains
used were Bacillus subtilis ATCC 23858 and Burkholderia seminalis TC3.4.2R3. The
experiment was conducted in a randomized block design arranged in a 3 × 2 factorial scheme,
with three inoculation treatments and two pepper species. Seed germination, radicle length,
emergence speed index (ESI), seedling height, and fresh and dry biomass of shoots and roots
were evaluated. The results showed that both PGPB significantly increased seed germination
and radicle length, considering the effect of inoculation treatments, with no significant
differences between pepper species for these variables. A significant interaction between
species and inoculation was observed for seedling height and ESI, highlighting the increase in
seedling height of bode pepper inoculated with B. subtilis, as well as the increase in ESI in both
species inoculated with B. subtilis and B. seminalis. No significant differences were observed
for root fresh and dry biomass or shoot fresh biomass; however, shoot dry biomass was higher
in bode pepper. It is concluded that inoculation with PGPB is a promising alternative to improve
seed quality and early seedling vigor, and that the selection of the most appropriate bacterial
strain should consider the pepper species and cultivation conditions.

Abstract: Pé-de-moleque is a traditional Brazilian sweet widely consumed and appreciated in different regions of the country, presenting variations in its formulation according to local traditions. This study aimed to develop a baru brittle made with buffalo milk and different concentrations of baru almonds (Dipteryx alata), with the purpose of enhancing the nutritional value of the product and promoting the use of regional raw materials from the Brazilian Cerrado. Three formulations were developed containing 5% (T1), 10% (T2), and 15% (T3) of baru almonds, corresponding to 50 g, 100 g, and 150 g, respectively, incorporated into the buffalo milk candy matrix to produce pé-de-moleque. The samples were subjected to physicochemical, microbiological, and sensory analyses. Physicochemical parameters included titratable acidity, moisture, pH, ash, and protein content, while microbiological analyses evaluated the presence of molds and yeasts. Sensory evaluation was conducted with 60 untrained panelists using a hedonic scale and acceptability index. The results demonstrated that increasing concentrations of baru almonds positively influenced protein and mineral contents and improved sensory acceptance. All formulations achieved acceptability indexes above 80%, with the formulation containing 15% baru almonds showing the highest preference among evaluators. Microbiological analyses confirmed that all products met the required standards for safe consumption. It can be concluded that baru brittle produced with buffalo milk and baru almonds presents high nutritional potential, satisfactory sensory acceptance, and commercial viability, representing an innovative alternative for adding value to regional products.

Abstract: The strategic distribution of green spaces is an essential tool for mitigating negative
environmental impacts and promoting public health, establishing itself as a
fundamental pillar in the pursuit of sustainability and quality of life in contemporary
societies. Elements such as urban design, vegetation cover, and adequate
infrastructure significantly influence the environmental quality of public squares and
the well-being of their users. Furthermore, recent studies have highlighted the
multiple benefits of urban tree cover, including positive effects on human health and
environmental regulation. In this context, a survey was conducted to assess the plant
species used in the composition of public squares and parks in municipalities within
the Vale do São Patrício region. The tools employed in this study enabled a detailed
analysis of the distribution and characteristics of these spaces, facilitating the
identification of green areas and the evaluation of urban environmental quality. The
methodology combined the interpretation of satellite and drone imagery with
specialized literature and quantitative parameters, including the Margalef and
Shannon diversity indices, to measure species richness. The floristic composition of
the surveyed green spaces was characterized by a predominance of exotic species,
with Dietes iridioides identified as the most frequent species, presenting an absolute
frequency of 44 individuals and a relative frequency of 19%. The introduction of
native species is recommended in order to support environmental balance and
strengthen ecological interactions between local fauna and flora.
