Abstract: Energy efficiency has assumed a strategic role in the Brazilian scenario, particularly
in public educational institutions that present diverse loads, high user traffic,
and a growing demand for technological infrastructure. In this context, this Final
Course Project carried out an energy diagnosis in the Electrical Engineering laboratory
block at IF Goiano Campus Trindade, focusing on evaluating the quality of
electrical energy and identifying opportunities for improvement. The methodology
adopted combined a literature review, normative analysis based on PRODIST (Electrical
Energy Distribution Procedures) Module 8, experimental measurements using
the Mi Energy energy analyzer, and computational data processing using Python.
The monitored parameters included effective voltage, frequency, power factor, and,
for power quality analysis, the total harmonic distortion (THD) of voltage (V) will be
analyzed, totaling 1,008 samples recorded between November 6th and 13th, 2025.
The results demonstrated that the installation operates within normative limits,
with THD of less than 10% and stable voltage, indicating good system performance
and low impact from non-linear loads. The analysis also revealed the presence of a
predominantly capacitive power factor, indicating the need for adjustments in the
reactive compensation system. The study concludes that continuous power quality
monitoring is an essential tool for institutional energy management, allowing the
identification of hidden losses, preventing failures, reducing costs, and strengthening
sustainability policies. Therefore, the findings of this work contribute both to improving
energy efficiency at IF Goiano and to the academic development of solutions
applied to the electricity sector.

Abstract: The stability of the electrical power supply in healthcare facilities is a fundamental requirement
for patient safety and the preservation of high-technology equipment. This case study analyzes
the implementation of a 15 kV enclosed substation in a hospital environment, focusing on the
sizing, protection, and selectivity of the system. The methodology includes surveying the
installed load, specifying the technical specifications of transformers and conductors, and
calculating short-circuit levels to define the relay adjustment parameters, according to NBR
guidelines. The investigation compares the academically designed technical project with the
installation actually implemented, identifying discrepancies between normative rigor and
operational reality. The results point to vulnerabilities in the protection system and technical
deviations that compromise selective coordination. The conclusions indicate the need for
adjustments in the settings of the protection devices and propose improvements in the
infrastructure to mitigate the risks of unintended shutdowns, ensuring the reliability and
continuity of service essential to hospital activity.

Abstract: This work focuses on the development of an industrial project structured with energy efficiency concepts and regulatory standards for a sorbet manufacturing industry. The study began with data collection, evaluation of the production process, and identification of the necessary equipment. Based on this assessment, the project planning sought to optimize natural resources such as natural lighting and ventilation, aiming to improve thermal and environmental comfort while reducing potential issues, losses, and inefficiencies within the facility. The proposal also included the creation of a new layout and architectural design, grounded in the recommendations of applicable regulatory standards, such as NBR 5410, NBR 14039, NBR ISO 50001, NBR ISO/CIE 8995-1, and NR-10. The methodology adopted combines both qualitative and quantitative approaches, employing case studies, energy calculations, and solar and lighting simulations. The results highlight the development of an energy management system, layout adjustments, and equipment upgrades. Ultimately, this work demonstrates the feasibility of an efficient industrial project.

Abstract: Sewage pumping stations play an essential role in basic sanitation, ensuring the proper transport of effluent when gravity flow is not possible. Safe and continuous operation depends on the correct integration of electromechanical subsystems such as pump sets, automation, protection, and grounding. However, studies indicate that small-scale pumping stations often present design and execution failures, compromising performance and increasing operational costs. Since electrical energy represents a significant portion of these costs, ensuring efficient designs becomes even more relevant. Thus, this study aims to carry out a technical and normative analysis of the electrical system of a small sewage pumping station, examining in a structured manner the elements that compose the project, the criteria adopted in its development, and the compliance of the proposed solutions with current standards. The methodology adopted is applied, technical-descriptive, and documentary in nature. Initially, a survey was conducted to identify the hydraulic, electrical, and urban parameters that influence the operation of the pumping station. Subsequently, the relevant Brazilian Technical Standards (NBR), such as NBR 5410, NBR 12208, and NBR 5419, were analyzed. In the following stage, sizing calculations were performed for conductors, conduits, and protective devices, as well as an assessment of the Grounding System and the Lightning Protection System (LPS). The results show that all stages of the electrical design complied with normative criteria, from defining the design currents presented in the load and demand tables to verifying voltage drop, cable ampacity, and compatibility between conductors and protective devices. The analysis also demonstrated that the grounding system and LPS were sized in accordance with normative requirements, ensuring safety, operational continuity, and protection of electromechanical equipment. It is concluded that the adopted methodology provides a solid foundation for the design of similar pumping stations, enabling the development of coherent, safe, and adequate technical solutions for the constructive and operational conditions.
