Abstract: In this work, we qualitatively seek to understand how didactic sequences can contribute to meaningful learning. To this end, we will contemplate the study of functions, with a focus on polynomial functions, usually taught in the first year of high school. We will use the historical context in the perspective of a meaningful and contextualized learning, by David Ausubel (2003). Therefore, we highlight the three fundamental conditions for the occurrence of meaningful learning, namely: 1) Potentially significant material; 2) Identification of suitable subsumers in the cognitive structure; and 3) Predisposition to learn. Knowledge from the historical context is incorporated into these conditions as facilitators of the teaching and learning process, in order to contribute to the planning of potentially significant material, given that the choice and sequence of contents are planned based on this. In order to achieve our goals, we will build an SD focused on the teaching of Functions in the first grade of High School, based on the historical context; and we propose the built SD to the students of the State and Municipal Education Network. Finally, with this work we intend to build an educational product aimed at Basic Education teachers who want to innovate in the classroom by presenting potentially significant material that is not traditionally addressed in schools.

Abstract: Mathematics is a science that is very present in our daily lives, but it has been worked on as a discipline at school and in many cases it may not be well learned by students, as some end up establishing relationships of fear and insecurity with it. We know that mathematics is a difficult subject for students to assimilate, causing disinterest and low school performance and a possible cause may be the traditional teaching method, leaving mathematics unrelated to everyday life. The present research brings in its body reflections about authors under study on the importance of new active methodologies for teaching mathematics. The question that guided the development of this research was: What are the potentialities and challenges of implementing active methodologies in mathematics teaching? Thus, the objective was to identify the potentialities and challenges of implementing active methodologies in mathematics teaching. Thus, the theme is justified by the need to recognize the importance of active methodologies as a means of facilitating learning during the mathematics teaching process. The qualitative and bibliographic research was conducted from the survey on the Google Scholar platform, from which recently published articles and monographs were extracted. Therefore, we conclude that there are currently several studies and proposals to make mathematics classes attractive and meaningful through active methodologies, but many challenges need to be faced, especially in relation to changing the attitudes of educators.

Abstract: This article was inspired by situations experienced by the researcher in daily life, teaching Physics in High School at Colégio Estadual Desembargador Virgílio de Melo Franco, located in the city of Paranã-TO. Through observations and practice in the classroom, it was found some difficulties of teachers in teaching the Units of Measure content and of students in learning this subject, which is the first curricular content in the 1st year of high school in the discipline of Physics. Most students are unable to assimilate that, in addition to calculations of unit transformations, there are other broader issues that permeate this theme, making them unable to seek relationships with situations in their daily lives. The work aimed to prepare a didactic sequence for teaching units of measure with an STS focus under the following focus question: “How to prepare a didactic sequence for a more conceptual approach to the topic of Units of Measure for the 1st Year of High School?” The methodological approach of the research is qualitative with the literature review as technical procedures, resulting in a didactic sequence on measurement units with a CTS focus. The great differential of our sequence is to rely on the BNCC, which brings in its text a search for work aimed at interdisciplinarity, bringing together contents and areas so that it can be worked on and make sense in the lives of students.

Abstract: The socio-environmental diagnosis of the water uses of the Bezerra River, aims to gather information on the uses and their quality, adding new sources of data and promoting the elaboration of analyzes that allow the visualization of the problems and the potentialities, in which the river is offering and made available to riverside residents. In the last six years, due to the growth of water uses from the Bezerra River, mainly in the extraction of sand, installation of the mining industry, undue capture of water for raising cattle, the diversification of water uses is taking place, and bringing a dissatisfaction of the population of Arraias - TO, and Campos Belos - GO, regarding the quality and quantity of the water of the Bezerra River in which it limits the water body to which studied. The diagnoses regarding the uses of water, questionnaires were carried out with the riverside people who are on the banks of the Bezerra River, 31 families were, and those who agreed to participate were 25 families. Then, water quality monitoring was carried out in its
adjacent areas, at 6 water collection points along the Bezerra River, according to CONAMA Resolution 357 (Conama, 2005). The results of the Bezerra River Water Quality were classified as REASONABLE, GOOD and GREAT QUALITY water. As for the opinion of the interviewees about the water quality of the Bezerra river, 32% reported the water quality as “very bad”, and 32% thought it was “Reasonable”, the remaining 12% thought it was “Bad”, “Good” and excellent.
