Abstract: Over the past few years, significant changes have been observed in the functioning of organizations and their work processes, which have consequences for the relationship between work and the mental health of workers. There is increasing pressure for increased productivity that is not always accompanied by improvements in working conditions, leaving workers subject to various types of occupational risks and work environments more prone to degrading mental health. This research aimed to develop a Technical Guidance Manual for Adapting to and Obtaining the Certificate of Company Promoting Mental Health, aimed at agribusiness companies in the city of Rio Verde, Goiás, based on Law No. 14.831/2024, which establishes the certification of companies promoting mental health. This is descriptive and exploratory research, conducted using a quantitative approach. Initially, a bibliographic and documentary survey was carried out on worker mental health, psychosocial risks, labor legislation, and psychosocial assessment instruments. Subsequently, empirical data were collected through a structured questionnaire applied to Human Resources managers of agribusiness companies in the southwest region of Goiás. The research was submitted to and approved by the ethics committee for research involving human beings. The results showed that some organizations already develop actions aimed at promoting mental health, such as quality-of-life programs, organizational climate surveys, and initiatives related to work-life balance. However, weaknesses were observed in the formalization of institutional policies, in the implementation of specific training, in the monitoring of implemented actions, and in the systematic mapping of psychosocial risks. It is concluded that, despite the advances observed in organizational practices, significant challenges remain for the consolidation of a structured management of mental health at work, especially regarding the prevention of psychosocial risks and compliance with recent legal requirements. It is hoped that the technical manual developed will contribute to guiding organizations in the implementation of preventive and strategic actions aimed at promoting mental health, fostering healthier, safer, and more sustainable work environments.

Abstract: With the advent of Brazil’s Legal Framework for Science, Technology, and Innovation (MLCTI), consolidated by Law No. 10.973/2004 and revised by Law No. 13.243/2016 and Decree No. 9.283/2018, a regulatory framework was established mandating the creation of a Technological Innovation Center (NIT) within public Scientific, Technological, and Innovation Institutions (ICTs). Acting as an institutional mechanism within the Triple Helix model, the NIT serves as a strategic intermediary among academia, the State, and the business sector, managing innovation policy, intellectual property protection, and technology transfer. At the Instituto Federal Goiano (IF Goiano), in Brazil, the Center was formally established by Resolution Nº. 032/2011. Given the importance of its efficient operation to regional socioeconomic development, this study aims to assess the understanding among IF Goiano
managers and faculty members of the NIT's role and legal responsibilities. The significance of this investigation lies in the fact that a lack of awareness of the NIT's role can limit its use by the academic community, reduce opportunities for intellectual property protection and technology transfer, and undermine its strategic role in fostering institutional innovation. Methodologically, this research is characterized as a descriptive case study employing a mixed methods approach (qualitative and quantitative); it is based on a document review and a structured questionnaire administered to 774 IF Goiano staff members between October 2025 and March 2026. The results serve as an institutional diagnosis, revealing the academic community's level of technical understanding regarding the NIT's role and legal responsibilities, while mapping communication gaps and perceptions concerning the sector's accessibility. It is concluded that the diagnosis provides strategic insights tailored to the Institution's reality, guiding the development of awareness-raising and information-sharing initiatives designed to mitigate bureaucratic barriers, improve the identification of innovative projects, and consolidate an intellectual property culture, thereby strengthening IF Goiano’s mission to foster national and regional development.

Abstract: The economic, social, technological, and urban transformations observed in recent decades
have intensified discussions on smart cities, progressively shifting the focus from technological
infrastructure to the capacity of territories to promote sustainable development, innovation, and
quality of life. In this context, leadership assumes a strategic role, as a city’s intelligence is
achieved not solely through technology but also through the ability of organizations and their
managers to mobilize knowledge, connect stakeholders, and develop solutions to increasingly
complex challenges. Considering this scenario, the present study aimed to analyze the strategies
and approaches adopted by agribusiness companies in Rio Verde, Goiás, Brazil, to prepare their
managers to operate within the context of smart cities, from the perspective of intellectual
capital and leadership development. This research was conducted within the Graduate Program
in Administration at the Federal Institute of Goiás and adopted a quantitative, descriptive, and
exploratory approach. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire administered to
managers and professionals working in agribusiness organizations located in Rio Verde, Goiás.
The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and correlation analysis to identify
relationships among organizational training, leadership competencies, knowledge of smart
cities, and preparedness to operate in intelligent environments. The findings indicate that
participants possess prior knowledge of the smart city concept and recognize the importance of
innovation, sustainability, and connectivity for territorial development. However, the results
also reveal opportunities to strengthen structured training initiatives, particularly those focused
on developing leaders capable of acting in environments characterized by digital
transformation, organizational complexity, and continuous adaptation. The analyses
demonstrate positive associations between professional development, leadership competencies,
and perceived preparedness to operate in smart cities, reinforcing the relevance of human capital
as a fundamental element in building future-oriented organizational capabilities. The results
suggest that preparedness for smart cities extends beyond the technological dimension and is
fundamentally associated with learning processes, competency development, and the
strengthening of intellectual capital. In this regard, leadership emerges as one of the main
mechanisms linking knowledge, innovation, and territorial development, indicating that
organizations better prepared for contemporary challenges are those that continuously invest in
developing their people and expanding their adaptive capacity.
As an applied contribution, the research led to the development of an e-book, designed as a
technical-technological product to disseminate knowledge and raise awareness among
managers, organizations, and institutions regarding the strategic role of leadership in building
smarter, more sustainable, and more connected cities. The material presents reflections,
concepts, and practical experiences that bridge academic knowledge and real-world territorial
demands, contributing to the strengthening of innovation ecosystems and the development of
leaders prepared for the challenges of the twenty-first century.

Abstract: This study analyzes the landscape of technologies applied to management processes in grain
storage units in the municipality of Rio Verde (GO), focusing on operational efficiency and
quality assurance. The storage sector plays a strategic role in agribusiness, requiring solutions
that mitigate losses and optimize the conservation of agricultural assets. The central objective
was to diagnose the technological maturity level of local units and develop a technical product
capable of guiding the strategic modernization of these structures. Methodologically, the
research is characterized as an applied case study using a mixed approach (quantitative and
qualitative). Data collection was conducted through structured questionnaires sent to managers
of storage units, and the treatment of qualitative data was based on Bardin's (2016) Content
Analysis technique. The results indicate that the sector has a consolidated technological base
for temperature and ventilation monitoring, processes considered highly effective by 100% of
respondents. However, a significant gap was identified in the adoption of Industry 4.0
technologies, such as IoT and Artificial Intelligence, primarily due to high implementation costs
and the need for a skilled workforce. Qualitative analysis revealed that technology is perceived
not only as a physical preservation tool but also as a pillar of credibility, regulatory compliance,
and access to financial credit. As a practical contribution, the Modular Strategic Guide for
Technological Modernization was developed, offering a scalable roadmap for managers to
implement innovations in a sustainable and financially viable manner. It is concluded that
efficiency in storage management in Rio Verde depends on overcoming economic barriers
through modular planning, ensuring the competitiveness and quality of grain in the global
market.
