The importance of the chosen topic lies in its practical and academic relevance, as the effectiveness of management in the rural environment not only impacts the productivity and competitiveness of agricultural companies. This work aims to analyze the land-scape of publications in rural administration through a quantitative survey of the research pub-lished in the SOBER (Brazilian Society of Rural Economics, Administration and Sociology) congresses, identifying through a qualitative analysis the prominent topic researched in each thematic area, in order to ascertain the scenario of publications on rural administration made from 2019 to 2023. From this investigation, it was found that, of the 125 published articles, the thematic area of finance had the highest volume of publications with 56 articles, followed by the area of strategic management with 24 articles, of which 22 addressed the prominent topic of economic feasibility analysis and 6 addressed the prominent topic of competitive analysis, respectively. A considerable reduction in publications was noticed in the years 2021 and 2022 and few studies related to marketing. This research provides alternatives for future investigations, encouraging a deeper exploration of the topic in other sources of research on rural administration. The research question that guided the present study was the following: how does the scenario of agribusiness in the Rio Verde region, considering soybean production? The methodology used in the preparation of this study is bibliographical research and was developed based on scientific articles, books and considers data obtained from official government websites, such as Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Embrapa), Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), Mauro Borges Institute of Statistics and Socioeconomic Studies (IMB). The results demonstrated the expansion of soybean production in the state of Goiás and significantly in the municipality of Rio Verde. In addition to this expansion, the challenges and opportunities faced by this key region for the Brazilian agro-industrial sector were also highlighted. Título: FAZENDAS URBANAS: IMPORTÂNCIA PARA A SEGURANÇA ALIMENTAR DAS FAMÍLIAS Autor(es): Santos, Josiane Vieira dos Primeiro Orientador: Salustiano, Silvia Ferreira Marques Abstract: This Course Completion Work (TCC) explores the topic of urban farms as a viable alternative for food production in urban environments, focusing on the contribution of these initiatives to food security. The main objective is to investigate how urban farms impact food security, considering their role in offering fresh and healthy food to urban populations. The methodology used in this study is bibliographic review, allowing a detailed analysis of existing research on the subject. The results obtained reveal that urban farms present a range of significant benefits, such as promoting sustainable agricultural practices and strengthening local food resilience. However, challenges are identified, such as space restrictions, structural limitations, access to resources and issues related to urban zoning. Despite these obstacles, urban farms are considered viable, especially when innovative strategies and supportive policies are adopted. The assessment of environmental impacts, including energy use and urban zoning, emerges as critical elements for the development and expansion of these initiatives. By considering the complexity of these issues and the solutions proposed in the literature, this study highlights the fundamental role of urban farms in building more sustainable, resilient and equitable food systems for urban populations.
