Abstract: This work aimed to analyze vegetable production and its socioeconomic and nutritional importance for families in situations of social vulnerability in the municipality of Pontalina-GO, through the solidarity garden extension project. The project has been developed since 2021 in partnership between the Instituto Federal Goiano – Campus Morrinhos, public authorities and local institutions, aiming to promote food security, academic training for students and strengthening vegetable farming. The methodology was based on the diversified production of vegetables, the registration of families in situations of social vulnerability and the distribution of the food produced. In the period from 2021 to 2025, approximately 400 families were served, in addition to social institutions in the municipality. There was a high production capacity and diversity of crops, with emphasis on cabbage, parsley, jilo and pumpkin. The results indicate that the project contributes to improving the quality of life of benefiting families, expanding access to healthy foods, in addition to promoting technical training for students and rural producers. It is concluded that the initiative has social, educational and productive relevance, configuring itself as an efficient strategy for promoting food security, social inclusion and sustainable development.

Abstract: Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) is a crop of high relevance in Brazilian agribusiness,
widely studied regarding nutritional management strategies aimed at increasing productivity. In
this context, the present study aimed to evaluate the effect of foliar fertilization based on yeast
extracts on agronomic characteristics of soybean grown in an area with a history of high soil
fertility. The experiment was conducted at the Instituto Federal Goiano – Campus Morrinhos,
during the 2024/2025 growing season, using a completely randomized design with three
treatments and ten replications. The treatments consisted of different foliar supplementation
protocols, including a control without application. Agronomic, morphological, and productive
variables were evaluated, including yield components, seed weight, plant height, plant
population, and grain yield. Data were subjected to analysis of variance and Tukey’s test at a
5% probability level. The results showed no statistically significant differences among
treatments for all evaluated variables. However, a consistent trend of superiority was observed
in the treatment with the highest number of applications, especially for number of pods, number
of grains, and yield, reaching up to 78.27 bags per hectare. The lack of significant response may
be associated with the high soil fertility, which provided adequate nutrient supply via the root
system, reducing the effect of foliar fertilization. It is concluded that, under high soil fertility
conditions, foliar fertilization and biostimulant application do not promote statistically
significant increases in soybean yield, although numerical gains may be economically relevant.

Abstract: Integrated Crop–Livestock–Forest (ICLF) systems represent a sustainable alternative for intensifying agricultural production in the Brazilian Cerrado. This study aimed to evaluate the silvicultural performance and genetic parameters of Eucalyptus spp. clones established under an ICLF system in the municipality of Morrinhos, Goiás, Brazil. The clonal trial was conducted at the Federal Institute of Goiás – Morrinhos Campus, using a randomized complete block design with 40 clones, seven replications, and five plants per plot. Evaluations were carried out at five years and two months (2023) and six years and three months of age (2024), assessing survival rate, circumference at breast height, total height, and individual tree volume. Statistical analyses were performed using mixed models via the REML/BLUP methodology. Mean survival reached 96.97%, indicating good adaptation of the clones to local edaphoclimatic conditions. High productivity and very high selective accuracy estimates (0.93 to 0.96) were observed. The results demonstrate the technical feasibility and productive potential of Eucalyptus spp. cultivation in ICLF systems under conditions similar to those of southern Goiás.

Abstract: Corn is a widely used crop for human and animal consumption worldwide; however, the presence of nematodes in cultivated areas can cause significant production losses. Among the main plant-parasitic nematodes associated with corn, those of the genus Meloidogyne, known as root-knot nematodes, stand out. Controlling these organisms is extremely important to ensure crop productivity. A viable and promising strategy is biological control through seed treatment, which provides protection to the primary inoculum of the pathogen and acts in the early stages of plant development. In this context, the present work aims to evaluate the efficiency of corn seed treatment with a Bacillus-based biological nematicide. The product Rizos, based on Bacillus subtilis, was used, applied at five concentrations, with six repetitions. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse, following a completely randomized design. Concentrations of 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, and 1.5 were applied to the seeds. 2.0 and 2.5 mL (3 x 10⁹ CFU/mL) of the product were used, followed by inoculation with 5000 eggs of *M. javanica*. Sixty days after inoculation, fresh and dry weight of the aerial part and eggs per plant were evaluated. The use of the biological agent did not reduce nematode reproduction under the experimental conditions. In fact, increasing the dose of the bacteria resulted in greater nematode reproduction in the corn roots. Further studies of this interaction should be conducted to confirm this result of the interaction between B. subtilis and M. javanica in corn.
