More precisely, we will define Newton’s Method, present its main theoretical results, and apply the method to calculate real roots of continuous functions. Next, we will present a variation of Newton’s Method to overcome the need to calculate the derivative of the given function. Finally, for better theoretical understanding, based on the results studied, the method will be implemented in Excel and in a Scilab environment. The Oscar Niemeyer Cultural Center (CCON), located in Goiânia-GO, was chosen for the construction of the scale models, which were applied to students from the 2nd grade A and 2nd grade B of Rodrigo Rodrigues da Cunha School, in Pires do Rio-GO. The study developed addresses the importance of using scales in the construction of scale models, as well as the identification of different geometric solids, highlighting how this practice contributes to students' geometric understanding. We will show the different techniques and materials that students used in the elaboration of the scale models, as well as the results obtained in the execution of this activity. We can already say that this work provided a whole differentiated teaching and learning experience throughout the construction of the scale models.
