ESTUDO DO PROCESSO FENTON PARA REDUÇÃO DA CARGA ORGÂNICA DE EFLUENTES

Abstract

Under Brazilian environmental legislation, the disposal of waste in the environment, either by emission of matter or effluents released into the atmosphere, needs to go through processes of treatment to reduce the degrading consequences of the environment. In the study, the processes used to reduce organic matter from liquid effluents from dairy or industries, are of the biological type, and that demand a large area, and normally a high cost in this operation. In this case, scientific research is to identify another more effective way out and more economical to carry out such procedures, the Advanced Oxidative Processes (AOP), such as Fenton. The objective was to evaluate the reduction of organic load of effluents from dairy, swine and synthetic products in the textile industry using the Fenton process. You When the effluents were chosen, some tests were performed, such as turbidity, pH and DQO great reduction of pollutants in the effluents tested, representing great effectiveness in the organic waste treatment, turbidity and DQO reductions.
